Luis Asuncion hit his fifth home run of the season in the first game of the doubleheader, but it would not be enough for the Dust Devils. Tri-City starter Cole Bellinger suffered the loss after allowing three runs in four innings of work. In the second game of the twin bill the AquaSox came just three outs away from throwing the fifth perfect game in the history of the Northwest League. The Dust Devils rallied in the seventh inning to get their first hit and run of the game, but the comeback bid ultimately came up short.
Tri-City will send right-hander Adrian Martinez to the mound on Sunday. Everett will counter with Jheyson Carraballo. The final two games of the regular season in Everett will both start at 4:05 pm.
