Tickets for Red Ventures Collegiate Baseball Series Go On Sale January 16

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - Single-game tickets to all five games in the 2016 Red Ventures Collegiate Baseball Series will go on-sale to the general public in person at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16 during a unique event at the team's Uptown Charlotte kingdom. Coinciding with Saturday's on-sale date, the Knights will celebrate "Appreciate A Dragon Day", which is held on January 16 each year.

From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon, any fan who purchases a ticket in person at BB&T Ballpark, or wears their college colors, will receive a free Knights collectible giveaway, along with complimentary popcorn, peanuts, and a soda. There will also be inflatables for kids to enjoy, along with a sidewalk sale in the Knights Armor Shoppe featuring deeply discounted items, and more. Homer the Dragon, Charlotte's beloved mascot, will be on-hand for the "Appreciate A Dragon Day" festivities to take free photos with fans.

Beginning at noon on January 16, single-game tickets for each of the five games will go on sale online at CharlotteKnights.com and by phone at 704-274-8300. The Charlotte Knights Ticket Office will stay open for all phone orders until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and re-open for phone orders during regular office hours (M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Fans can also purchase their tickets online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, starting at 12:00 p.m. on January 16.

A year after hosting their first-ever collegiate baseball game at BB&T Ballpark in 2015, the Knights are partnering with Red Ventures on all five collegiate baseball games at BB&T Ballpark in 2016. Red Ventures is a technology-enabled marketing company that partners with the nation's top brands to grow sales. Founded in 2000 and headquartered just south of Charlotte, NC, Red Ventures employs more than 3,000 and has been named one of the "Best Places to Work" in Charlotte for eight consecutive years.

The 2016 Red Ventures Collegiate Baseball Series kicks off on Tuesday, March 8 as the Charlotte 49ers host the University of Georgia at BB&T Ballpark in a 6:05 p.m. game. Gates for all four of the 6:05 p.m. games will open at 5:00 p.m., while gates for the 7:05 p.m. game on Tuesday, April 12 will open at 6:00 p.m.

Field box tickets for the games on March 8, March 29, April 5, and April 26, are just $10 for fans, while students from each university will be offered a discounted field box ticket of just $8 by showing a school ID. Field box tickets for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels vs. the University of South Carolina Gamecocks game are $18 for fans. Uptown Knights Are Better Than Ever!
