GreenJackets Lose to Tourists, 2-1

Tourists Even the Series at One

Augusta, GA--The GreenJackets (12-10) lost to the Asheville Tourists (10-11), 2-1, Friday night, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The Tourists win ties the series at one. 

Augusta scored their only run of the night in the second inning. Tyler Horan led the inning with a double through the hole at second base. With one out, Tyler Ross singled to right field and Horan scored. It was Ross' seventh RBI of the season.

While he lacked run support, Carlos Diaz (2-2) pitched a decent game. In his fourth start this season, Diaz gave up six hits, walked one, and struck out five hitters over six and one third innings. 

Max White scored, the first run for the Asheville Tourists, in sixth inning. He singled to deep shortstop but advanced to second on a throwing error by Christian Arroyo. A sacrifice fly and single allowed White to score. 

The Tourists scored another run in the seventh. With one out, Michael Benjamin tripled to right field. He then scored on a fielders choice by Ashley Graeter. Benjamin now has two triples so far in the season. 

Game three of the series continues Saturday, April 26th, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The first 1,000 fans into the stadium will receive a FREE t-shirt courtesy of LifeLink. It's also Family Fun Night at the stadium presented American Family Insurance. GreenJackets LHP Matt Lujan (3-0 1.45) will make the start against Asheville's RHP Konner Wade (0-2, 6.75).
