Dragons on TV

  • Saturday's games will all be televised on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2. (Time Warner Basic Cable Channel 23 and Digital Channel 372).
  • On Saturday evening, former Reds Assistant Director for Player Development Grant Griesser will join Tom Nichols for color commentary.

  • Friday, August 1
    • National Anthem performed by Rachel Hoover (Middletown, OH)
    • YMCA Adventure Guides and Indian Princesses are invited to spend the night camping on the Fifth Third Field outfield grass.
    • Dragons Drumline will be entertaining fans throughout the night.
    • Clear Sky Enterprises will be having a popcorn sampling on the plaza before the game.
  • Saturday, August 2
    • National Anthem performed by Tom Beery (Miamisburg, OH)
    • Kroger Baseball Buddies will run out on the field before the game with Dragons players.
    • Cohen Recycling is collecting used electronics from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on the plaza
    • There will be a Boy Scout Clinic held at Fifth Third Field at 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 3
    • National Anthem performed by Jerome Stueart (Vandalia, OH)
    • Casper & Casper will have a tee-ball inflatable set up on the plaza before the game.
    • Kroger Baseball Buddies will run out on the field before the game with Dragons players.
    • Kids will be given the chance to run the bases after the game.
  • Monday, August 4
    • National Anthem performed by Spencer Sharp (Morrow, OH)
  • Tuesday, August 5
    • National Anthem performed by The Day Tones (Dayton, OH)
    • Heiner's Bread will have a food sampling on the plaza before the game
    • Vectren teams up with the Dragons to recognize a local Community All-Star at the end of the third inning.
    • Donatos will have a sampling of their meatball subs on the plaza before the game
  • Wednesday, August 6
    • National Anthem performed by The Valley Horns (Dayton, OH)
    • Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield team up with the Dragons for a Home Run for Life Night, with the ceremony taking place at the end of the third inning.
    • Mini-dugout dancers will be here to entertain fans during the game.
    • Great Clips will be giving charity haircuts on the plaza prior to the game.
    • Ohio Lottery's "Multiply Your Fun" promotion returns to Fifth Third Field, where fans can win upgrades and prizes around the ballpark.

Dragons on the Field

  • The Dragons have seven players on Baseball America's Top 30 Reds Prospects list. The Dragons roster features four #1 draft picks by the Cincinnati Reds for the first time in club history in right-handed pitcher Nick Travieso (2012), outfielder Phillip Ervin (2013), right-handed pitcher Nick Howard (2014) and shortstop Alex Blandino (2014). Travieso was a 2014 Midwest League All-Star, along with shortstop Carlton Daal and right-handed pitcher Sal Romano.
  • The Dragons had a streaky month of July, but they enter August among the playoff contenders in the Eastern Division standings. In fact, all six teams that could qualify for the post-season in the second half are within three games of each other. Dayton plays 15 home games and 16 road games in the month of August.
