Toledo wraps up road trip with 7-6 win over Indy

The Mud Hens avenged Monday's loss to the Indianapolis Indians with a 7-6 victory over the Indians at Victory Field on Tuesday afternoon.  

Toledo starter Buck Farmer toed the rubber for 4.2 innings and racked up six of the 11 Toledo strikeouts but it was Rafael Dolis who earned his first win of the season in a relief effort for Farmer. Alex Wilson was awarded the save, his second of the season.

Xavier Avery and Dixon Machado pulled through in the clutch during the eighth inning, as they each tallied an RBI to boost the Hens past the Indians. Avery was 3-for-5 on the day with a run scored and an RBI, while Machado went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI.

Toledo will be back in action for their home opener with a double-header on Thursday, April 16 at 4 p.m at Fifth Third Field against the Columbus Clippers. Game Two is scheduled to begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of Game One.
