MANCHESTER, N.H. - Altoona teed off on New Hampshire pitching for a second-straight day as they crushed three homers as part of a season-high 18 hits in a, 9-4, win on Monday afternoon to split the series. Stetson Allie, Keon Broxton and Dan Gamache all homered for the Curve in the victory. Gamache went 5-for-5 on Monday to tie a franchise record for hits in a game and is the first Curve player to have five hits in a game since Melvin Dorta in 2008.

Gamache didn't get his fifth and final hit until the ninth when he singled with two down off reliever Greg Burke. He becomes the 12th player in team history to have five hits in the game and the fifth to do it with a perfect 5-for-5 day.

The Curve kicked off the scoring in the first when Josh Bell scored Broxton with his fifth RBI in the last two games. They'd add another in the second when Adam Frazier singled home Gamache, who'd singled to start the inning and extend his hitting streak to 12 games (a new team-best).

Things really got going for the Curve in the fourth when Gamache singled to start the inning again. This time, Allie crushed his seventh home run of the season off the neighboring Hilton Garden Inn hotel in left field. That made it a 4-1 game. Later in the inning, Broxton singled home Frazier to make it, 5-1.

New Hampshire got single runs off Jason Creasy (5-0) in the bottom of the fourth on a home run by former major leaguer Deric Barton and in the fifth on a single by Ian Parmley to cut the lead down to, 5-3. Willy Garcia's arm helped save the lead in the sixth when he cut down Matt Newman trying to score from second for his seventh outfield assist of the season.

Altoona's offense went back to work for Creasy in the seventh to once again open up the game. Broxton led off the inning with a homer off Scott Barnes before Gamache clubbed his second home run of the season four batters later. Creasy came out after six innings and turned in a quality start, allowing three runs on nine hits.

Over the final two games of the series, the Curve racked up 20 runs on 35 hits. With the win, the Curve improved to 10-2 in day games and 7-0 in day games on the road this season. Broxton's day shouldn't be overlooked either as he went 4-for-4 and was a triple shy of the cycle with three RBI in the win.

Done with the Fisher Cats for a few weeks, the Curve (25-17) make the final stop of their three-city trip in New Britain at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday night to open up a series with the Rock Cats. Altoona sends LHP Zack Dodson (2-2, 2.36) to the hill against Rock Cats lefty Ryan Carpenter (3-4, 4.41)

Airtime on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Curve Radio Network is scheduled for 6:20 p.m.
