Hillcats Start August with a Giveaway and Fireworks
The Hillcats will be back in town for a six-game homestand starting on Tuesday, August 4th at 6:30pm. The 'cats will start off the month with '80s Night, a T-Shirt Giveaway and Fireworks!
The Potomac Nationals will return to the Hill City for three games beginning Tuesday, August 4th at 6:30pm with the gates opening at 5:30pm. It's a 'Cats with a Cause Night presented by ESPN Radio 93.3 FM where Wheels on the James will be raising awareness for their organization. It's also Luray Caverns Night where the first 500 people in attendance will receive a ticket for free admission to Luray Caverns. Members of Southpaw's Kids Club presented by Lynchburg Dental Center will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, chips & a drink and can Run the Bases after the game! Tuesdays are also Faith Nights presented by UMFS. Advanced tickets are just $4 each for church groups of 10 or more.
The series with Potomac will continue on Wednesday, August 5th at 6:30pm with a WIQO Win-Win Wednesday! Fans will receive a free ticket to the next Wednesday home game on August 19th when they enter the gates, which open at 5:30pm.
The last game of the series with the Nationals will be on Thursday, August 6th at 6:30pm. The gates will open at 5:30pm for our Theme Thursday-'80s Night! Dress in '80s costume for $5 admission and join us in celebrating the iconic decade. It's also a Thursday Cheers with $2 drink specials presented by Miller Lite, Yuengling & 97.9 FM The Planet. That evening is also Big Brothers, Big Sisters Night.
The Hillcats will kick off a three-game series with the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Friday, August 7th at 6:30pm. The gates will open at 5:30pm so get here early because the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free T-Shirt courtesy of High Peak Sportswear / STEVE FM! That evening will be Ed Randall's Bat for the Cure raising prostate cancer awareness. Saturday, August 8th is a 6:30pm start time. The gates will open at 5:30pm and be sure to stick around after the game for a Fireworks Show presented by Courtyard by Marriott, Central Virginia Federal Credit Union and Lynchburg Municipal Employee Federal Credit Union! It's also a Smoke Free Night presented by TUCP and HIPE Coalition so no smoking will be permitted inside the stadium that evening and it's Genworth Financial Night.
The series with the Blue Rocks and the homestand will conclude on Sunday, August 9th at 2:00pm with the gates opening at 1:00pm. Former Major Leaguer Denny McLain will be at the stadium signing autographs that afternoon. Virginia529 Smart Savers members can show their membership card at the box office for free admission to all Sunday home games. Families can also purchase 4 for $40 Family Four Packs on Sundays which include four GA tickets and four hot dog or cheeseburger combo meals, presented by ABC 13!
