Third and Final Game Postponed

Due to Field Conditions and Probable Weather Forecast GreenJackets and Sand Gnats Game Postponed.
August 19, 2015

AUGUSTA, GA: Wednesday, August 19th the Augusta GreenJackets and Savannah Sand Gnats prepared to take the field for the third and final game of their series at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Unfortunately, yet again mother nature had other plans for the clubs and the guests attending the game. A heavy rain storm that hit Lake Olmstead Stadium around 2pm left the field in bad playing conditions. After the rain had concluded, the grounds crew pulled the tarp off the field and began work on the field. Around 7:00pm the field was still too wet for play and the decision was made to postpone the game.

Since, the GreenJackets do not host the Sand Gnats any more times on the schedule at Lake Olmstead Stadium the game will be made up in Savannah with a doubleheader August 31st starting at 5:35pm when the GreenJackets will be in town for a five game series.

Tomorrow morning the GreenJackets hit the road for a four game weekend series against the Charleston Riverdogs and in Charleston, South Carolina. Then they will return back home on Tuesday, August 25th to host a four game set against the West Virginia power.
