Southern Division Championship Series schedule set with Dash

Pelicans first home game to be Thursday, September 10

WOODBRIDGE, VA. (SEPTEMBER 4, 2015) - With a Pelicans loss and a Winston-Salem win on Thursday, the Dash claimed the Carolina League Southern Division Second Half Championship. Now that the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are eliminated from the second half division title race, the schedule for the Carolina League Southern Division Championship Series is set. Game One is slated for Wednesday, September 9, at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem, N.C., with a 6:30 p.m. ET first pitch.

The Pelicans secured a postseason spot by winning the First Half Southern Division Championship, which guarantees at least one home playoff game on Thursday, September 10. Game Three, if necessary, will come at home as well.

The Pelicans playoff schedule is as follows (home games are bold and underlined):

   Southern Division Championship Series (SDCS) (*if necessary)

  • Game One: Pelicans at Winston-Salem Dash               Wednesday, Sept. 9, 6:30 p.m. ET
  • Game Two: Pelicans vs. Winston-Salem Dash           Thursday, Sept. 10, 7:05 p.m. ET
  • Game Three*: Pelicans vs. Winston-Salem Dash       Friday, Sept. 11, 7:05 p.m. ET

 

A playoff package, which includes tickets to all five potential Pelicans postseason home games, is on sale now. The Playoff Package Special is just $25.00 per seat and includes tickets to the five potential home playoff games and a pregame picnic on the guaranteed home game on Thursday, September 10. The picnic includes all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, coleslaw, baked beans, and cookies.

Single-game tickets are the same price as regular season games, with tickets ranging from $9.00 - $13.00 when purchased in advance. Luxury Suites and group tickets are also available.

The game on Thursday, September 10, will also be a Thirsty Thursday with $1.00 12oz. Bud and Bud Light drafts as well as $2.00, 16-oz. cans served from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The 2015 season marks the 17th season for the Pelicans franchise and first as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
