Riders welcome fifth-largest crowd all-time Sunday

Four of top five attendances in team history have been recorded in 2015

FRISCO, TEXAS (SEPTEMBER 6, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, welcomed the fifth-largest crowd in franchise history to Sunday's night's game at Dr Pepper Ballpark. A Labor Day Weekend crowd of 11,813 fans took in the RoughRiders' game against the Midland RockHounds.

With Sunday's attendance, four of the top five and seven of the top nine crowds in team history have come through the gates during the 2015 season. The RoughRiders set a new franchise record with 11,915 fans on May 8th, only to see the record broken on June 12th when 11,927 watched the Riders defeat San Antonio. In addition, a grand total of 22,298 fans attended Frisco's home games on July 4th and 5th, the most ever on back-to-back nights around the Fourth of July.

For the 11th straight season, the RoughRiders lead all of Double-A in attendance, drawing 471,353 fans - an average of 6,932 per game - with one more game remaining this season. Frisco has also drawn more fans than 16 Triple-A franchises to date in 2015.
