Riders Invite Fans to Spring EGGstravaganza at the Ballpark

EGGciting event will include Easter Egg hunt and more!
March 14, 2016

FRISCO, TEXAS (March 14, 2016) - The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, will be hosting a free and open to the public Spring EGGstravaganza at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Saturday, March 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This special event is highlighted by an Easter Egg hunt starting at 11:20 a.m. for all kids 12-and-under to search the outfield for hidden Easter Eggs.

In addition to the Easter Egg hunt, there will be a coloring contest, airbrush artist, and a bounce house. Both the Primrose Schools and Deuce's Playgrounds will be open during the event.

The club encourages fans to bring a glove and baseball to the park for a catch on the field after the Easter Egg hunt. Kids will also have an opportunity to run around the bases, just like their favorite RoughRiders players!

Select food and drinks will be available for $1, including candy, water, coffee, Cracker Jack, popcorn, kettle chips, beer, hot dogs, nachos, and Dr Pepper products.

Saturday will be the first opportunity for season-ticket holders to pick up their tickets, which they can do at the Triple Play Tavern, located on the first base side of the second level. Fans can pick up their tickets anytime during the Spring EGGstravaganza.

Fans interested in purchasing single-game tickets to any of the 70 RoughRiders home games are encouraged to speak with any sales representative at Guest Services or visit the Box Office during the event.

The RoughRiders continue to make progress on construction of the brand new Choctaw Lazy River, which fans can view up close and personal during the EGGStravaganza. Lazy River party passes, a $225 package that includes Choctaw Lazy River access for six Thursday home games beginning June 16, and tickets to other 2016 RoughRiders home games are available online at RidersBaseball.com.

The RoughRiders will open their 2016 home schedule at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Thursday, April 14 and host 70 home dates through Labor Day, September 5. Tickets are available now online at RidersBaseball.com, via email at [email protected], over the phone at (972) 731-9200, or in-person at the RoughRiders box office.

About the RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and play their games at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The team was founded in 2003 and has finished first among all Double-A franchises in attendance in each of the last 11 seasons (2005-2015). In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg and Scott Sonju. The new ownership group has spearheaded numerous major franchise improvements, from a completely new team identity to massive additions and upgrades to Dr Pepper Ballpark, including a giant new video board, sound system, sports bar, team store, improved food service and menu, and a complete overhaul of in-game entertainment. The improvements earned the Riders and the City of Frisco "Best Ballpark Renovation" of 2015 by Ballpark Digest in the under $6 million category. More than 130 former RoughRiders players have gone on to play Major League Baseball, including All-Stars Chris Davis, Elvis Andrus, Adrian Gonzalez and Ian Kinsler.
