TinCaps Finish Road Trip in Badger State
BELOIT, Wisc. -- The TinCaps ended their six-game road trip in Wisconsin with a pair of losses to the Beloit Snappers (Oakland A's) in a doubleheader at Pohlman Field on Monday evening. The home team took the first game, 5-1, and the finale, 2-1.
Fort Wayne (10-21, 46-55) led 1-0 in both games. Marcus Greene Jr. hit a sacrifice fly in the second inning of the front-end, while Austin Allen drove in a first-inning run with a single in the nightcap.
In Game 1, Beloit (14-17, 46-54) tied it in the fourth and scored four times against reliever Corey Kimber (L, 2-1) in the fifth. Evan Manarino (W, 8-5) went 6 1/3 innings for the Snappers, while Jared Lyons (S, 5) closed it out.
In Game 2, Beloit scored twice in the fifth against TinCaps starter Anderson Espinoza (L, 0-1). Brendan Butler worked six innings followed by Tyler Willman (S, 3).
