Finale in Helena called due to rain, lightning

August 18, 2016

Thursday night's game at Kindrick Legion Field between the Grand Junction Rockies and Helena Brewers was called due to rain and lightning after a delay of one hour and five minutes.

The game was halted in the top of the fourth inning with the Rockies leading 2-0, but since five innings were not completed the result is not official and because the Rockies and Brewers don't play again this season, it will not be completed.

Grand Junction scored both of its runs in the third inning. Taylor Snyder doubled home the first run, while Colton Welker singled home the second.

Alejandro Requena tossed three scoreless innings and struck out three.
