Despite a late comeback, the Toledo Mud Hens fell in extra innings to the Indianapolis Indians in extra innings by a final of 3-2.

Both offenses were kept relatively quiet through the game's first seven innings, as the Hens didn't even break into the scoring column until the eighth.
Indianapolis took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning, which held until late. Eric Wood's sixth homer of the year put the Indians on top early.
Starters William Cuevas for Toledo and Steven Brault for Indianapolis cruised early on. Cuevas threw the first 5.0 innings for the Hens, allowing just the one run in the second on six total hits.
Toledo took the lead in the eighth with three hits in the inning. Brendan Ryan started things off with a double and scored when JaCoby Jones drove him home. Argenis Diaz doubled home Jones to give the Hens its first lead of the night.
That advantage was short lived, however, as Jason Rogers homered off of Logan Kensing in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game back up at 2-2.
In extras, Ryan smacked his second double of the game and reached third with one out after a Matt den Dekker sac bunt. The next two Toledo batters struck out swinging to end the threat.
The Indians would walk off winners in the bottom of the 11th against Mike Zagurski. Joey Terdoslavich singled to start the inning and Austin Meadows came on to run for him. Jacob Stallings singled and Meadows got to third. Barrett Barnes ended the game on a sac fly, to give the Indians the game and the series sweep.
Jeff Ferrell pitched two shutout innings, recording four strikeouts. Edward Mujica threw a scoreless tenth inning for the Hens.
Ryan had his second straight multi-hit game after finishing 3-for-3 yesterday. He has seen his average jump from .119 to .157 in just two games with the current streak.
Toledo will return to Fifth Third Field on Tuesday after an off day on Monday. They will host the Norfolk Tides and send Warwick Saupold to the bump.
