Scott Heineman named Texas League Player of the Week

FRISCO, Texas (August 21, 2017) - Frisco RoughRiders outfielder Scott Heineman was named Texas League Player of the Week for the week of August 14-20, the league announced Monday.
Heineman hit .550 (11-20) with two doubles, a triple, a home run, five RBIs, seven runs and six walks during the Riders' six-game homestand at Dr Pepper Ballpark. He led the league in average and walks, and was tied for the top spot in runs scored.
The Player of the Week honor is the second this year for Heineman, who also claimed recognition for his performance during the week of June 19-25. Riders infielder/outfielder Royce Bolinger (May 29-June 4) and infielder Juremi Profar (July 10-16) also have received the award this season.
The RoughRiders open a seven-game road trip Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. in San Antonio. The Riders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark for the final seven games of the season August 29-September 4.
