The Helena Brewers sent 10 to the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning Saturday night and scored six unearned runs in an 8-1 win over the Grand Junction Rockies at Kindrick Legion Field. 
The big inning came after the Rockies got within a run when Niko Decolati brought a run when he reached on a fielder's choice in the Rockies half of the inning, and it started when Connor McVey was hit by the first pitch, and Jesus Lujano reached on an error. After a 1-out double steal, Bryan Connell brought home a run with a ground out, but Alejandro Mejia couldn't get the third out. 
He walked Je'Von Ward and Brice Turang, and after Yeison Coca singled home a run, L.G. Castillo knocked him out of the game with a 2-run single. Jessie Stinnett made his Rockies debut and allowed two inherited runners to score when Bryan Torres doubled home two runs on a misplayed fly ball in right field.
Mejia allowed eight runs, two earned, over 3.2 innings and was tagged with his fifth loss. Stinnett tossed 1.1 scoreless innings, and after Rayne Supple threw two scoreless frames, Colton Harlow worked around a double in the eighth.
Grant Lavigne and Cristopher Navarro had two hit nights for the Rockies who see their 3-game winning streak come to an end as they fall to 13-8 in the second half.
Castillo finished with three hits and three RBI for the Brewers, while Turang and Coca added two.
The Rockies will play play the rubber game of their 3-game series in Helena Sunday afternoon. The first pitch from Kindrick Legion Field is set for 1:05.
