CORPUS CHRISTI - Tyler Guilfoil held Amarillo to three hits and a walk over 5 2/3 innings, helping the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits to a 1-0 over the Sod Poodles before 6,896 students Wednesday afternoon at Whataburger Field.
After stranding a pair in the first, Guilfoil stymied Amarillo to the tune of three singles and hit batsman, striking out six. His exit came after recording two quick outs in the sixth.
In his last two starts, Guilfoil has held foes to one run and four hits over 10 2/3 combined frames.
With CC clinging to a 1-0 lead, Drew Stroman delivered 2 1/3 innings of 1-hit relief.
