Nine of ten current Appalachian League teams have at least one representative on the list - Bluefield (3), Bristol (1), Danville (5), Elizabethton (2), Greeneville (1), Johnson City (2), Kingsport (1), Princeton (5), and Pulaski (1) - as well as one former affiliation, the Greeneville Astros (3).

The league was established in 1911, and the modern Appalachian League began play in 1957.
