MONTGOMERY, Ala. - For the second-straight season, the Montgomery Biscuits are Second Half North Division Champions. The club's 3-2 walk-off win (their 10th of the season) over the Tennessee Smokies on Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium guaranteed the Butter and Blue a spot in the postseason for the fifth time since the team's inception in 2004, making consecutive playoff appearances for the first time since 2006-07 when the Biscuits won back-to-back Southern League Championships.

The Biscuits have had a terrific season that has culminated with the team winning 12 of their last 14 games, on their way to putting up the best second half record in the Southern League at 41-27. Montgomery also had a Southern League-high four players voted on to the end of season All-Star team including Adams (starting SS), Bauers (starting 1B), Hu (best RHP), and outfielder Cade Gotta (Best Hustler).

Manager Brady Williams has now led the Biscuits to the Southern League playoffs twice in his first three years as skipper. The team will begin their quest for their third-ever Southern League Championship, and first since 2007, on Wednesday, September 7, when the Biscuits will travel to western Tennessee for the first two games of the Division Series against the Jackson Generals. Game 2 will be on Thursday, September 8 with Game 3 coming on Friday, September 9 back in Montgomery at Riverwalk Stadium.
