Braves edge Jays 6-5
DANVILLE---The Blue Jays lost in a heartbreaker Tuesday 6-5 in 11 innings to the Danville Braves.
With the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the 11th, Marcus Mooney was hit by a pitch from Connor Eller. Darien McLemore came in to score the winning run.
The Blue Jays were trailing 5-2 in the 9th when Bradley Jones hit a three-run homer to tie the ball game 5-5. It was Jones's 12th on the season, which ties him for the league lead with Dermis Garcia of Pulaski.
Eller was handed the loss to fall to (3-2) on the season. Dalton Carroll earned his first win on the season for the Danville Braves.
The Braves improve to 28-29 while the Blue Jays fall to 33-25. The Blue Jays will play the Pulaski Yankees starting Wednesday night at Bowen Field at 7:05.
