Bristol Pirates Announce Hat Promo Winner

February 27, 2014

The Bristol Pirates have announced that Jan Black of Blountville was the winning bidder during the recent on-line auction of the first-ever produced Bristol Pirates cap.

All of the proceeds of the winning bid will be donated to the Bristol Food Pantry, to help feed local families in need.

The Pirates will contribute an additional amount, for a total of $500 to assist the Food Pantry.

The Food Pantry will be one of several local charities highlighted at Pirates games this summer as part of the team's new Meaningful Mondays promotional series, highlighting a different charitable or community organization at each Monday home game.

"We are so appreciative of the generosity of Jan, and of all our fans who bid on this one-of-a-kind souvenir, for their support of the Bristol Pirates and those in need in the Bristol area," stated Pirates General Manager Mahlon Luttrell.
