D-Braves extend lease in Danville

Team will continue to play at Legion Field through 2022

DANVILLE, Va. - The Danville Braves today announced that they recently extended their lease with the City of Danville to continue playing at American Legion Post 325 Field in Dan Daniel Memorial Park. The lease extension covers the next five years, running through 2022.

"We have enjoyed being in the Danville community for 25 years and look forward to more years of providing quality baseball and entertainment to the citizens of Danville and the surrounding area," said Braves General Manager David Cross.
The D-Braves began play in 1993 and have called Legion Field home since the team's inaugural season. The D-Braves will celebrate their 25th anniversary season in 2018.
"The City values the partnership we have with the Danville Braves," said Ken Larking, City Manager, City of Danville. "There are many baseball fans in our area who will be thrilled that professional baseball and, in particular, the Braves, will be here for years to come."
