Danville Blows Early Lead, Drops Series Finale, 14-6

The D-Braves had jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings through some patient hitting and the long ball.
In the bottom of the first, the Braves loaded the bases and brought home four all coming on free passes. Danville forced Kingsport starting pitcher
Kingsport came back with seven unanswered runs and took a 7-5 lead. In the bottom of the sixth,
Kingsport scored seven runs in the final three innings unanswered to claim the victory.
Danville utilized six pitchers, who gave up 12 earned runs on 13 hits. The pitching staff gave up a season-high 10 walks on the evening.
The Braves lost their sixth game of the season when scoring first, moving to 20-6 in its 2018 campaign.
The D-Braves will hit the road to Pulaski to visit the Yankees for a three-game set August 12-14. After, Danville will return home August 16-18 to face the Greeneville Reds for four games, including a doubleheader on August 16 beginning at 5 p.m.
