DANVILLE, Va. - After sealing its sixth consecutive series victory on Friday night, the Danville Braves allowed Kingsport to score 14 of the game's final 15 runs, blowing the game out of reach for Danville on Saturday night at Legion Field, 14-6.

The D-Braves had jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings through some patient hitting and the long ball.
In the bottom of the first, the Braves loaded the bases and brought home four all coming on free passes. Danville forced Kingsport starting pitcher Matt Cleveland out of the game after recording just two outs in the game. Cleveland walked four D-Braves and gave up a pair of hits and four earned runs.
Greg Cullen extending Danville's lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the second with his first homerun of his career, a solo homerun to right. With a 2-for-5 day, Cullen is now 9-for-19 on the year against Kingsport.
Kingsport came back with seven unanswered runs and took a 7-5 lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Carlos Baerga singled in a run to narrow the deficit to 7-6. Justin Smith represented the tying run and was thrown out at the plate trying to score from second.
Kingsport scored seven runs in the final three innings unanswered to claim the victory. 
Danville utilized six pitchers, who gave up 12 earned runs on 13 hits. The pitching staff gave up a season-high 10 walks on the evening.
The Braves lost their sixth game of the season when scoring first, moving to 20-6 in its 2018 campaign.
Jose Montilla pitched five innings, allowing nine hits and four earned runs with three strikeouts. The product of Neyba, Dominican Republic saw his ERA drop from 3.51 to 3.86 on the year.
The D-Braves will hit the road to Pulaski to visit the Yankees for a three-game set August 12-14. After, Danville will return home August 16-18 to face the Greeneville Reds for four games, including a doubleheader on August 16 beginning at 5 p.m.
