Mateja smacked an RBI single up the middle to narrow the D-Braves deficit to 4-1. The Chicago area native has driven in two since he moved to Danville on August 10.

Greeneville tacked on two more in the sixth with an RBI single and bean pitch from the D-Braves Zach Guth. The Reds' Hernandez singled up the middle to move the game to 3-0. Mike Siani widened Greeneville's lead with a bases-loaded hit by pitch, scoring Scantlin.
The Reds blew the game open with a four spot in the top of the ninth.
Jose Montilla gave up four earned runs on the evening in 5.2 innings of work. Montilla pitched strong through four scoreless innings, but was tagged for a pair of runs in his fifth and sixth innings. The right hander holds a 6.60 ERA in his last six starts after opening with a 1.53 ERA in his first five starts.
Carlos Baerga collected two hits with a double. In his last two games, Baerga is 4-of-7.
