Signed with the Toronto Blue Jays out of an NCAA Division III school, Albright College in Pa, on June 17, 2010... went undrafted in 2009 and 2010... Blue Jays scout Bobby Gandolfo signed him a week after the 2010 Draft as a free agent... went 15-4 for Albright striking out 181 over 192 1/3 career innings... finished with a 2.53 ERA and only 21 walks during his time with Albright... attended Delone Catholic High School in his hometown of McSherrystown, Pennsylvania... pitched in the Blue Jays organization from 2010-2017, making his Major League debut with the Jays on April 8, 2017... claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners on May 11, 2017 and optioned to Triple-A Tacoma... Mariners released him after the 2018 season... did not appear in a MiLB or MLB game in 2019 after spending the year with Hiroshima in the Japanese Western League, where he went 4-7 with a 4.51 ERA in 21 games... signed a Minor League contract with the Minnesota Twins on Jan. 28, 2020 but did not play after the Minor League season was canceled by the Covid-19 pandemic... became a free agent following the 2020 season and signed with an independent league team, the York Revolution of the Atlantic League, on March 30, 2021... Toronto purchased his contract on May 19, 2021 before the Atlantic League season began and Lawrence re-signed with the Blue Jays after the 2022 season on Dec. 30, 2022.

Led all Triple-A pitchers in ERA with a 2.79 mark for Triple-A Buffalo... started all 23 of his appearances in 2022, going 9-5 with a 2.79 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 126 innings... appeared in six games out of the bullpen for Toronto, striking out 11 in 18 innings in his first Major League action since he made 11 relief appearances for Seattle in 2018.

2021

Signed with the York Revolution of the independent Atlantic League to start the year and had his contract selected by the Blue Jays on May 19... Split the rest of the campaign between Double-A New Hampshire and Triple-A Buffalo...Combined to go 8-3 with a 4.40 ERA (42 ER/86.0 IP), 17 walks, 80 strikeouts, and a 1.12 WHIP... His 13 walks over 65.0 innings with the Bisons were the fewest among Buffalo hurlers with at least 10 starts.

Was 2-3 with 6.34 ERA (39 ER, 55.1 IP) with 52 strikeouts in 27 appearances, including 2 starts, with Toronto (4 G) and Seattle (23 G)…had four stints with Seattle (May 17-June 2, June 12-13, July 28-Aug. 15 & Aug. 19-end)…first Major League win on Aug. 1 at Texas… struck out 9 over 5.0 innings in relief on June 1 vs. Colorado, setting single-game club record for strikeouts by a reliever…was 2-4 with 4.08 ERA (26 ER, 57.1 IP) with 41 strikeouts in 11 appearances, including 7 starts with AAA Tacoma…claimed off waivers from Toronto on May 11 after being designated for assignment on May 8…was 0-3 with 8.78 ERA (13 ER, 13.1 IP) with 7 strikeouts in 4 games (2 starts) with Toronto…selected by Toronto from AAA Buffalo on April 8 and made his MLB debut in relief later that day at Tampa Bay…was 1-0 with 0.90 ERA (1 ER, 10.0 IP) with 7 strikeouts in 3 starts with AAA Buffalo before recall.
