JUPITER, FL: Víctor Víctor Mesa capped off his 3-6 night with a walkoff RBI single in the 11th to help the Jupiter Hammerheads avoid a sweep and beat the Florida Fire Frogs, 3-2, on Saturday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

With runners at second and third and just one out, Mesa was able to deliver the winning hit off RHP Troy Bacon (0-2), a liner just past the glove of Riley Unroe that plated Micah Brown.
The Hammerheads got on the board first in the fourth inning when Isael Soto brought in James Nelson with a fielder's choice.
That was the only tally LHP Hayden Deal would allow, scattering four hits and four walks with seven punchouts over 6 and 2/3's frames and not factoring in the decision. He blew past his previous career-high of 90 pitches, throwing 106 on Saturday with 65 for strikes.
RHP Daysbel Hernandez ensured Deal only surrendered one run, stranding two inherited runners in the seventh to keep Jupiter's advantage at 1-0. Two of the four outs he recorded in his appearance were strikeouts.
Florida finally seized an opportunity in the eighth to tie the game. Jefrey Ramos singled home Unroe off RHP Vincenzo Aiello to even the game at 1.
Unroe extended his on-base streak to 20 games by drawing two walks.
Both teams traded runs in the 10th. Brett Langhorne's sacrifice fly scored Izzy Wilson in the top half of the stanza to give the Fire Frogs their first lead, 2-1. Nelson's run-scoring single for the Hammerheads in the bottom half off RHP Brandon White tied it back up.
White permitted only the one run and three hits in two innings on the mound. He escaped a big jam in the ninth that would have sent the Hammerheads home earlier with the victory.
NEXT UP: The Fire Frogs will turn to RHP Nolan Kingham (2-1, 2.52) on a Belly Buster Monday night, who hopes to start the home stand off with a win against St. Lucie's RHP Dedniel Nunez (0-0, 2.25). First pitch will be fired off at 6 p.m.
REMINDER: The Fire Frogs open their seven-game home stand on Belly Buster Monday night at Osceola County Stadium.
