Season-High Six Errors Prove Costly

Great Falls, MT-The Voyagers surrendered four runs through the first two innings and eventually fell 10-4 to the Ogden Raptors in the series finale Wednesday night at Centene Stadium.

Great Falls, MT-The Voyagers surrendered four runs through the first two innings and eventually fell 10-4 to the Ogden Raptors in the series finale Wednesday night at Centene Stadium.

Ogden took two of three in the series. Great Falls (26-30, 4-14) fell to 19-13 at home this season. The Voyagers are 12-9 against the South Division. Ogden (37-20, 11-8) improved to 17-13 on the road. The Raptors are now 14-7 against the North.
The Raptors seized an early 2-0 lead with two sacrifice flies in the top of the 1st. Jeremy Arocho, Daniel Robinson, and Ronny Brito all picked up infield singles in the inning. A two-run 2nd made it 4-0. Jefrey Souffront had an RBI single.
The Voyagers used two doubles in the bottom of the 2nd for their first run of the game. Amado Nunez led off with a double lined to left. With two outs, Gunnar Troutwine brought Nunez home with a double to left as well. That extended Troutwine's hitting streak to a season-best six.
A three-run 4th for Ogden broke it open. Niko Hulsizer doubled to start the inning. Tre Todd followed with a walk. Jefrey Souffront posted an RBI single that drove in Hulsizer. The base hit was bobbled in center and allowed Todd to score as well. Jeremy Arocho then singled to center. Daniel Robinson smashed a line drive that was caught at third, but a throwing error behind the runner at first brought Souffront home with the third run and a 7-1 cushion.
After Ogden made it 8-1 with a run in the top of the 6th, Great Falls sent eight men to the plate and scored three times in the home half. Romy Gonzalez led off with a walk. Bryce Bush doubled off the wall in left-center for a run. Amado Nunez singled Bush home. Nunez later scored from third on a wild pitch that made it 8-4. The Raptors added single tallies in the 7th and 8th innings respectively for the game's final margin.
The Raptors outhit the Voyagers 16-to-8. Jeremy Arocho led Ogden with four hits and two runs scored. Jefrey Souffront collected three hits with two RBIs. Six Raptors posted multi-hit games. Bryce Bush, Amado Nunez, and Gunnar Troutwine all had two hits for Great Falls. Nunez scored two runs.
Justin Hagenman picked up the win in relief. Hagenman (1-0) went two-and-a-third and gave up three earned runs on three hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Codi Heuer took the loss. Heuer (0-1) worked three innings and yielded four runs (two earned) on five hits with one strikeout and one walk.
