Orem, UT-The Voyagers need one more win or a Missoula loss to secure a Pioneer League North Division playoff spot following a series-clinching 12-3 victory over the Orem Owlz Friday night at UCCU Ballpark.

Great Falls (21-13) remains in first place, four games up on Missoula with four to play in the first-half. The Voyagers improved to 6-9 on the road. Orem (10-24) fell to 6-10 at home. Great Falls won the season series against the Owlz 6-to-1.
The Voyagers wasted no time at the plate in the top of the 1st, as Ramon Beltre slammed the first pitch of the game high and deep over the wall in left-center. A two-out, two-run home run lifted to left by Alex Destino made it 3-0 after a half-inning. It was the fourth homer of the season for both Beltre and Destino.
After Orem scored a run in the second, Great Falls broke it open with a five-run 4th for an 8-1 lead. The Voyagers sent nine men to the plate, and the inning featured a three-run home run crushed deep to left by Adam McGinnis. It was McGinnis' fifth big fly of the season. Jay Estes also had an RBI double in the frame.
The Owlz plated single runs in the 5th and 6th innings before the Voyagers struck for three more in the 7th. Amado Nunez had a two-run double and later scored on a wild pitch. Lenyn Sosa finished the scoring with a solo home run to left in the 8th. It was Sosa's fourth dinger of the season.
Great Falls outhit Orem 11-to-6. Lenyn Sosa, Adam McGinnis, and Alex Destino all collected two hits. On the mound, Devon Perez posted his first professional win. Perez (1-0) retired all seven batters he faced in relief and struck out two. Johnny Morell took the loss for Orem. Morell (0-2) lasted just three-and-two-thirds and surrendered six earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
