San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers and their charitable foundation, the 66ers Foundation, have partnered with Baker's Drive-Thru to raise money to support Inland Empire youth with a 'Round Up' ca during the entire month of March.
The 66ers Foundation is a non-profit organization powered by the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino, dedicated to provide opportunities for youth in the community to play organized baseball or softball who wouldn't otherwise have the means to by fully funding all related costs. In collaboration with Baker's Drive-Thru, the two entities have created a campaign to fund these efforts.
Throughout the month of March at all 39 Baker's Drive-Thru locations, customers will be asked to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar with the difference in cost benefitting the 66ers Foundation and their efforts within the community. Each participating customer will be rewarded for their generous contribution with a voucher for two free tickets to select Inland Empire 66ers home games this season.
"Baker's Drive-Thru is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and do business," Maria Migliore, Baker's Drive-Thru Director of Marketing and Customer Experience expressed. "We are proud to partner with the 66ers Foundation to support children, right here in our local communities, be a part of team sports that will enrich their life journey."
For the spring 2019 Little League season the 66ers Foundation sponsored 54 kids throughout San Bernardino, Colton, and Fontana, by covering 100% of registration and equipment costs for each child to play baseball or softball. Funds from the 'Round Up' campaign will contribute to the Foundation and its efforts to expand its sponsorship program and continue offering this opportunity to children in the Inland Empire.
"Playing youth sports can have such a positive impact on a child, and the 66ers Foundation strives to be able to provide that opportunity to the youth in our community," stated Joe Hudson, General Manager of the Inland Empire 66ers, "and we couldn't be more grateful that an Inland Empire staple such as Bakers, shares our vision in supporting a cause that is so important to our organization."
