Sixers Throttle JetHawks 6-0, Collect League-Best Eighth Shutout

San Bernardino, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino pitching trio of Jeremy Beasley, Marc Brakeman and Eduardo Rivera combined to lead the 66ers in securing their Cal League-best eighth shutout in a 6-0 win over Lancaster. Jo Adell homered (7) for the second straight night and ran his hitting streak to ten games as the Sixers earned a spilt with the JetHawks (31-36) in the four-game set and improved to 11-7 on the year against the Colorado Rockies affiliate.
Inland Empire (32-34) got on the board in the first on Adell's smash to center field against starter David Hill (1-2). The Sixers made it 3-0 in the frame when Roberto Baldoquin delivered a RBI single to center. Beasley gave the club 5.2IP surrendering six hits with three walks and six Ks. Beasley allowed five hits in the first 1.1 inning but outfield assists from CF Adell and RF Brandon Marsh aided his cause. Brakeman gave the Sixers 2.1 IP after being activated from the DL on Thursday and pitching for the first time since May, 27th. The Sixers piled on in the fifth as David Mackinnon tagged the first of his two singles and then scored on Richie Fecteau's RBI triple to right. Jahmai Jones then singled him home. Marsh rounded out the frame with a run-scoring base-hit and 6-0 advantage. Jones, Marsh and Adell all stole bases for the Sixers. The JetHawks were 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and had just one hit after the second inning.
