Cardinals Walkoff Twins in Game One of Doubleheader, Game Two Postponed

JOHNSON CITY, TN - After dropping game one to the Twins 8-5 and a rain out of game two, the Cardinals and Twins were set to play a doubleheader. Johnson City would take game one, 5-3 on a walkoff two-run homerun by LeandroCedeno. Game two would make it to the top of the third before being postponed due to inclement weather. The game would end 1-1 and will be pushed back to August 19th, when Johnson City visits Elizabethton.
Game one of the doubleheader started with a bang for the Cardinals. NolanGorman blasted a two-run homerun (9) in the bottom of the first to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. The Twins would answer in the top of the second with two of their own and tie the game at two.
Johnson City scored one in the bottom of the fifth. NolanGorman doubled (9) with one out. LeandroCedeno hit an RBI single to score Gorman from third to make the score 3-2. Elizabethton scored one in the top of the sixth to tie the game at three.
Since it was a doubleheader, the teams would play two seven inning games. In the bottom of the seventh, JonatanMachado led off with a single. With one out, LeandroCedeno blasted a two-run walkoff homerun (8) to give the Cardinals the win in game one.
Game two made it to the top of the third. Elizabethton scored one in the top of the first.
The Cardinals answered in the bottom of the second after BrandonRiley led off with a walk, MoisesCastillo singled to put runners on first and second. With one out, BenitoSantiago grounded out but BrandonRiley scored from third to tie the game at one. 
Before the top of the third started, the rain poured down and the game was postponed until August 19th, when Johnson City travels to Elizabethton.
The Cardinals hit the road for a six-game roadtrip against the Greeneville Reds and the Bristol Pirates.
