2011 Cardinals Schedule Released
JUPITER, FL (December 2, 2010) - As the only venue in the country to host two full-season Minor League Baseball teams, Roger Dean Stadium will offer up more fun than ever in the 2011 season, according to schedules released today for the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals.
Each team will play 70 home games during the Florida State League season, including the 18-game Fins & Feathers Series between the stadium's two tenants.
The 2011 Florida State League season will kick off at Roger Dean Stadium on Thursday, April 7th with Jupiter hosting the Fort Myers Miracle. The home opener for the Cardinals comes Saturday, April 9th against the St. Lucie Mets.
Each of those games will start at 6:30 p.m., as will nearly every game at Roger Dean Stadium from Monday through Saturday this season. Sunday games will begin at 5:00 p.m., and will once again be Family Fun Days, with free admission for children under 12.
Complementing Family Fun Days will be the weekend's biggest party on Slammin' Saturdays. Each and every Saturday night this season, Roger Dean Stadium is giving fans something to enjoy, whether it be post-game concerts, fireworks shows, nationally-renowned entertainment acts, giveaways, or theme nights.
The centerpiece of Slammin' Saturdays will be the kickoff to Mega Bash III. The largest Independence Day weekend event in Northern Palm Beach County, Mega Bash III has expanded to three days, July 2nd, 3rd and 4th with bigger bands and better fireworks than ever before.
Other theme nights returning as part of Slammin' Saturdays are Dog Days, allowing fans to enjoy their favorite pastime with their four-legged best friends, Faith & Family Night, a Candy Drop, and the infamous Diamond Dig, in which ladies have the chance to dig up a jaw-dropping diamond ring buried somewhere in the Roger Dean Stadium infield.
