Festival of Lights at Hammons Field

Springfield, MO - The Springfield Cardinals and Hammons Field are thrilled to again be a part of the opening ceremony of the Festival of Lights, which begins Saturday, November 20th at Jordan Valley Park.

The Festival of Lights is a six-week celebration that features many family-oriented free or low-cost activities and events right here in Springfield.

Saturday's event will begin at 5pm with the Mayor's Tree-Lighting Ceremony, just west of Hammons Field at Jordan Valley Park.

Immediately following the Tree-Lighting Ceremony, fans are encouraged to come to Hammons Field free of charge, to get pictures taken with Santa and Louie while enjoying holiday music and a fantastic fireworks display. Treat yourself to complimentary hot chocolate and get some holiday shopping in at the Springfield Cardinals Team Store.

After the fireworks, fans can head over to Mediacom Ice Park for free ice skating ($2.50 skate rental).

The Springfield Cardinals and the Missouri National Guard are also teaming up to help kids in the community. To help, fans are encouraged to bring toys and children's clothing to Hammons Field on November 20th to help bring the holiday cheer to Springfield's youth.
