Garr Gets the Call to Cal League
All-Star right-hander Brennan Garr promoted to high-A Bakersfield
Dayton, OH - The Texas Rangers, parent club of the Clinton LumberKings announced today that right-hander Brennan Garr has been promoted to high-A Bakersfield.
Garr, the ninth round selection by the Rangers in 2006, played a vital role at the back end of the LumberKings' bullpen. The hard-throwing righty went 0-3, but posted a 2.31 ERA in 25 relief appearances, converting all five of his save opportunities. Most impressive, the University of Northern Colorado product struck out 50 batters in 39 innings while walking only 16.
No replacement has yet been named for Garr. The active Clinton roster stands at 24, with one pitcher remaining on the disabled list.
