Frederick Keys and Restaurant Association of Maryland to Partner on Taste of Frederick Event

Top Restaurants and Chefs to be on Display July 19
March 2, 2015

(Columbia, Maryland) - The Restaurant Association of Maryland (RAM) and the Frederick Keys have announced plans to partner together to showcase the restaurants and talented chefs of central and western Maryland. Over 20 restaurants are expected to participate in the Taste of Frederick on July 19th, 2015 at Harry Grove Stadium. Restaurants will set up serving stations at the stadium for attendees to sample their food.

"One of the best ways to promote a restaurant is to let people taste the goods," said Marshall Weston, CEO of the Restaurant Association of Maryland. "Culinary events like this are an effective way for restaurants to mobilize their brands beyond their brick and mortar locations, with the goal of reaching new customers."

Foodies and families alike will be able to enjoy an entire day of activities. The Taste of Frederick will run from 12:00-3:00pm and the baseball game against Potomac will begin at 6:00pm. Tickets are just $25 in advance. Kids under 12 are FREE. Ticket price will include unlimited signatures tastes from every restaurant, kids' fun zone, a Frederick Keys baseball game and fireworks.

The Taste of Frederick annual event served the community with food and fun for many years, until the recession hit in 2008. Now, it is time for the restaurant industry to bring back the excitement.

"We are really excited to be partnering with the Restaurant Association of Maryland in bringing back the Taste of Frederick event here to the stadium," says Frederick Keys General Manager, Dave Ziedelis. "Frederick is known for their delectable cuisine and this is a great way to experience it all in one place for a fun, affordable night out."

Any restaurants interested in participating should contact Hilary Yeh, RAM Marketing & Special Events Coordinator, to sign up. Tickets will be sold by the Frederick Keys.
