Wang To Rehab With Senators At Trenton Saturday
The former Thunder pitcher Wang is currently with Harrisburg on an MLB rehab assignment. Wang is scheduled to pitch on Saturday, July 28 during game four of the five-game series at Mercer County Waterfront Park. He was placed on the disabled list on July 3 and has recently made two appearances for the Senators on rehab, going 1-1 with a 1.74 ERA (10.1 IP).
Wang is in his seventh Major League season and second with the Washington Nationals. As a New York Yankees Minor Leaguer, he played for the Thunder in 2003 and 2004. The 2003 Eastern League All-Star went 7-6 with a 4.65 ERA in 21 games during the '03 season and 6-5 with a 4.05 ERA in '04. He spent five seasons with the Yankees including a pair of 19 win campaigns. His 19-6, 3.63 ERA 2006 season earned him second place in the voting for the American League Cy Young Award.
