League approves Silver Hawks transfer
No action taken on relocation request
BELOIT, Wisc. -- The Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc., at a meeting held Monday at the Chicago O'Hare Hilton, approved the Control Interest Transfer (CIT) application submitted by the Chautauqua Heights, LLC for the South Bend Silver Hawks.
Mr. John Simmons made a presentation to the Midwest League Board of Directors with respect to relocating the Silver Hawks to Marion, Ill. However, the Midwest League took no action to approve or disapprove the relocation at this time.
