LOUISVILLE, Ky.-The Louisville Bats Baseball Club will hold an open workout for the public on Tuesday, April 6, from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at Louisville Slugger Field. Concessions will be available behind home plate during the event.

The Bats open the 2010 regular season on Thursday, April 8, with a road game against the Toledo Mud Hens. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and fans can hear all the action live on the radio with new play-by-play voice Matt Andrews on WKRD-790 AM.

Following the six-game road trip, Louisville will host their home opener on Wednesday, April 14, at 7:05 p.m. with a game against the Indianapolis Indians. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a 2010 Bats magnetic schedule, courtesy of BB&T and Porter Paints. Immediately following the contest, BB&T will sponsor the opening night fireworks show.

Full and partial season ticket packages at the ballpark, as well as group seating for individual Bats games, are still available. For more information, or to book your group's summer outing, call the Bats office at (502) 212-2287.
