IronPigs unveil new look

Lehigh Valley to present new uniforms on Aug. 14
July 23, 2007
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are presenting their Official Uniform Unveiling and StyleShow on Tuesday, August 14, at the State Theatre in Easton.

The event will begin at 3:30 P.M. with the doors opening at 2:45 P.M.

The focus of the event will be the unveiling of all the IronPigs approved on-field uniforms. The uniforms will be modeled by local radio personalities who will be competing with their "modeling skills" for a charity of their choice. Following the event, there will be an auction allowing fans the opportunity to own the "first" of each style jersey as well as an official Philadelphia Phillies #19 retro home jersey autographed by former outfielder Greg Luzinski. Proceeds from the jersey auction will go to the charity previously selected by the winning "model," as determined by a panel of judges.

Other features of the event include a brief IronPigs Fashion Show, which will be conducted by the Fashion Merchandising Department of Lehigh Valley College (LVC), as well as updates on Coca-Cola Park and other IronPigs information.

The event is open to the public and there is no charge for admission. For more information about the event, please go to www.ironpigsbaseball.com/cocacola/specialevents.

Because prime location will be reserved for coverage of the event, it is requested that members of the working media who plan on attending the event RSVP by noon on Monday, August 13. You can RSVP by replying to this e-mail or by phoning Matt Provence at (610) 435-3001 x31005. Also, please provide advanced notification of any needs you may have for covering the event or scheduling interviews.

The uniform "models" for the event are Bobby Gunther Walsh of WAEB 790 AM, Tom Fallon of WEEX 1230 AM, 'Cramer and Kelly' of WAEB 104.1 FM, 'Ken & Kitty' of WODE 99.9 FM, 'Becca & Malone' of WCTO 96.1 FM and 'Shep & Shelly' of WLEV 100.7 FM.

The panel of judges consists of Amanda Lovell, Lead Instructor of the Fashion Merchandising Department at LVC; Greg "The Bull" Luzinski, former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder and four-time National League All-Star; Troy Hein, Sports Anchor for WFMZ 69; and Chuck Domino, President of the IronPigs.
