Players eligible for the 2017 Rule 5 Draft are those who were signed as high-school Draft picks or international players in 2013 or earlier or college players who signed in 2014 or earlier. If taken in the Rule 5 Draft, which will be held on Dec. 14 at the Winter Meetings in Orlando, a player joins the selecting club's 25-man Major League roster and must remain there (barring injuries) for the duration of the 2018 season or else be offered back to his original team.
Below is a running table of prospects who are ranked among the top 30 in their respective farm systems by MLB.com and were officially added to their club's 40-man roster on Monday. Other notable prospects and names may also be included.
