Manager - Ted Kubiak

Ted Kubiak is in his 19th season as part of the Indians organization and is back as Scrappers manager for the fourth time. Kubiak has managed at various levels for 12 of those years with stints in Canton-Akron ('94-'95), Watertown ('96 -'98), Mahoning Valley ('99 -'00, and '03), Columbus ('01), and Kinston ('02). He was the Indians defensive coordinator from 2004-2008 before returning to be the manager of the Arizona League Indians. Kubiak's teams have made the playoffs seven times reaching the league championship round in five of those years with his lone Championship in 2010.


Kubiak spent parts of ten years in the major leagues with seven different teams. Most notably, he was part of the World Champion Oakland A's teams from 1972 - 1974.

Kubiak reside in San Diego, Ca. and has a son Justin and daughter Kristi.

Pitching Coach - Greg Hibbard

Greg Hibbard returns to the Mahoning Valley as the Pitching Coach of the Scrappers in 2012. Hibbard also served as the Pitching Coach for the team during the 2003 and 2011 seasons. The 2012 season marks his tenth season as a Pitching Coach in the Indians farm system.


Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 16th round of the 1986 draft, Hibbard played six seasons at the Major League level with the Chicago White Sox,Chicago Cubs, and Seattle Mariners. He posted a career record of 57-50 with a 4.05 ERA in 165 appearances.

Hibbard and his wife, Shea, reside in Arlington, Tenn. with their four children, Britton, Kellon, Jack, and Ali.

Coach - Tony Mansolino

Mansolino also returns to Mahoning Valley as Hitting Coach for 2012. He began his coaching career with the Scrappers in 2011 after playing professionally for six seasons as an infielder from 2005-10. Originally selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 26th round of the 2005 June Draft out of Vanderbilt University, Mansolino finished his affiliated playing career in 2008 with the Reading Phillies (AA) before spending the 2009 and 2010 seasons in the Northern League and American Association. He finished his career with a minor league average of .232 with 19 HR and 169 RBI in 441 games.

His father, Doug, is the Infield Coordinator in the Phillies Player Development System.
