Smith returns to Fort Myers for his fourth overall and second consecutive season as the manager after a two-year stretch in 2008-09... Spent the last five years as skipper of the Twins former Double-A affiliate, the New Britain Rock Cats... Went 330-380 from 2010-14 with New Britain... Entering 11th season in the Minnesota organization as a coach... Managed the Beloit Snappers in the Midwest League in 2006-07... In first stint with the Miracle, posted a 157-115 mark over 274 games and won the Florida State League First Half twice and second half once... Graduate of Naples High School in Naples, Fla. and played collegiately at Stetson University... Drafted by the Twins in the 20th round of the 1995 MLB First-Year Player Draft... Primary position was catcher over nine minor league seasons... Appeared in 658 games including 55 with the Miracle... Played for Fort Myers in 1997 and 1998 and hit .292 with four home runs and 27 RBI... Resides in Naples with his wife and two sons.

 

Born January 3, 1950... wife Cookie... sons Ryan, Rhett and Andrew and daughter Jaimie... resides in Cape Coral, Fla... begins 11th season as coach at Fort Myers... was Twins' minor league roving hitting coordinator, 1997-2005... coached at Class AA New Britain, 1995-96... managed Class A Fort Wayne, 1993-94 and Kenosha in 1992... was hitting coach at Triple-A Portland in 1991... selected by St. Louis in 11th round of June 1971 free agent draft from Southern Illinois University...played 18 years as outfielder in major leagues, including two-plus with Twins from 1988-90... collected 100th career pinch-hit with RBI-single, June 10, 1990 vs. Chicago White Sox... is tenth on the all-time list among major leaguers in pinch hits (100)... earned accounting degree from Southern Illinois-Carbondale.

Begins first season as pitching coach in Fort Myers... Served as pitching coach for the Cedar Rapids Kernels in 2015, at Elizabethton (R) in 2014 and in the Gulf Coast League in 2013... 8th round draft pick out of Tulane University by the Twins in 2000... Spent 10 seasons in the minor leagues and had a 61-71 record with a 4.66 ERA over 987.1 innings pitched... Played two seasons in Fort Myers with the Miracle and appeared in 29 games with a 4-3 record, 5.01 ERA and four saves.

 

Enters fourth season as trainer for the Fort Myers Miracle... named 2013 Professional Baseball Athletic Trainer's Society (PBATS) Trainer of the Year in the Florida State League... Spent the last eight seasons as trainer for the Beloit Snappers, previously the Midwest League (A) affiliate of the Minnesota Twins... Began athletic training career in 2004 with Elizabethton Twins in the Appalachian League.
