Norwich Sea Unicorns Announce Upcoming Promotions for 2021 Season

NORWICH, CT- The Norwich Sea Unicorns announce the promotional schedule for the remainder of the 2021 season at Dodd Stadium. The Sea Unicorns have won 9 out of their last 10 games on the field and will offer fireworks, special appearances, giveaways and more to fans throughout the summer.

There are five remaining post-game fireworks shows. All fireworks shows are presented by Liberty Bank and follow each Friday night home game as well as a special extended show following the 7 pm game on Sunday, July 4th. The Fourth of July Celebration is presented by Samuel Adams and will feature drink specials on all Samuel Adams and Truly products.

Special appearances from entertainment acts will be highlighted on select Saturdays. Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act will be at Dodd Stadium on Saturday, June 19th. Tyler’s act has been featured on America’s Got Talent, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, The Go Big Show, ESPN and more! Visit amazingtyler.com for more information. The Entertaining Elders stroll into town on Saturday, July 3rd. Described as “the denture adventures of the grumpy grandpas”, you won’t want to miss this act full of laughs. Finally, Tiki Time Tour will appear on Saturday, July 24th. From the island of Boogie, Tiki is described as “a pink, peppy dude with a tropical vibe. Upcoming theme nights will offer tremendous value to fans. On Saturday, July 10th the Sea Unicorns will debut Hot Dog Heaven presented by Kayem. For this one night, all hot dogs will be just 25 cents! There will not be a limit on the total number of hot dogs a fan can purchase during the night but there will be a limit of four hot dogs per transaction.

Military Appreciation Night presented by the Better Business Bureau Military Line will be Friday, July 16th. All current or former military members can purchase reserved seats at the Dodd Stadium Box Office for the discounted rate of $2 with a military ID. The Sea Unicorns will be wearing special military themed jerseys that will be auctioned to benefit a scholarship for a military family through the Better Business Bureau Military Line.

The Sea Unicorns vs. Westfield Starfires game on Saturday, July 24th will start at a special time of 12:00 pm and will be broadcast live on NESN. The game will also be a Salute to Healthcare Workers. As a way to say “Thank You” for their work over the last year, all healthcare workers can purchase reserved seats at the Dodd Stadium Box Office for the discounted rate of $2 when they show some form of proof of employment.

Saturday, July 31st will be First Responder Night at Dodd Stadium as the Sea Unicorns thank and honor the police, fire, and EMT staff that help keep us safe in our communities. On this night first responders can purchase reserved seats at the Dodd Stadium Box Office for the discounted rate of $2 when they show a police, fire, or EMT ID.

Giveaway items featured this summer include a 2021 Sea Unicorns Team Photo on Saturday, June 26th presented by Cross Insurance and Knapp Schenck Insurance Services and a Sea Unicorns Jersey Cooler Bag on Saturday, August 7th presented by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. Giveaway items will be given to the first 500 fans through the gates and will be limited to one item per person.

Weekly promotions in addition to Fireworks every Friday will continue throughout the summer. Every Tuesday is Dollar Dogs presented by Kayem with all hot dogs just $1. Kids Eat Free every Wednesday as each child 12 & under receives a voucher upon entry redeemable for a free hot dog, bag of chips and bottle of water. Thirsty Thursdays feature $2 Samuel Adams draft beer and $1 Bud and Bud Light draft beer. On Sundays, all kids are invited to run the bases after the game and receive a voucher redeemable for a free ice cream cone at Ben & Jerry’s located inside Mohegan Sun.
