Signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago White Sox on July 16, 2026 out of the MLB Draft League... graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point (Company E3) and commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army on May 23 2026... his older brother, Derek Berg, was a 2024 graduate of West Point and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 10th round of the 2024 MLB Draft... parents are Sherry and Adam Berg... played at Conroe High School in Conroe, Texas before attending West Point where he played with his brother from 2023-24

2026: Signed with the White Sox on July 16 and was assigned to the Arizona Complex League White Sox roster... joined the Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League on June 1, 2026 and appeared in 15 games out of the bullpen, going 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 24 innings

At West Point: Berg appeared in 50 games for the Army Black Knights from 2023-206, finishing his college career 16-9 with a 3.56 ERA in 209 2/3 innings... he started 27 games for Army over his last three seasons but spent most of 2024 working out of the bullpen, where he was 5-3 with a 2.17 ERA in 21 appearances; he was named to Patriot League All-League First Team, taking lone spot on the team for relief pitchers... moved into more of a starting role in 2025 when 12 of his 15 outings were starts -- he went 5-3 with a 3.91 ERA, striking out 61 in 76 innings and was named First Team All-Patriot League as a starting pitcher... in 2026, he started all 13 games he appeared in and notched a pair of complete games, finishing 6-3 with a 4.03 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 82 2/3 frames; he was Army’s leader in ERA at 4.03 and was named Second Team All-Patriot League
