♦ Named a Low Class-A All-Star by Baseball America.
♦ Limited South Atlantic League batters to a .203 average, with right-handers batting just .180 against him. Also held hitters to a .154 average with RISP and two outs.
♦ Registered 32 more strikeouts (100) than hits allowed (68) in 94.1 innings of work.
♦ Tallied a career-high 10 strikeouts over 6.0 innings in a win at West Virginia, 7/16.
♦ Named Orioles Minor League Pitcher of the Month for July after going 2-1 with a 0.67 ERA (2 ER, 26.2 IP) and 39 strikeouts. Limited SAL batters to a .116 average (10-86) in the month.
♦ Honored as the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week in consecutive weeks, 7/8 and 7/15. Did not allow a run over 11.2 scoreless innings over that stretch.
♦ Posted a 0.84 ERA (5 ER, 53.2 IP) with twice as many strikeouts (64) as hits allowed (32) over his final 11 appearances. Limited opponents to a .171 average over that stretch.
♦ Limited opponents to four hits or less in 19 of his 22 appearances.

2017
♦ Limited to five starts in his first pro season, posting a 6.97 ERA with the GCL Orioles.
♦ Struck out a season-high six batters over a 3.2 inning start, 8/22 vs. the GCL Twins.
♦ Limited opposing left-handed batters to an .091 batting average (1-11).

PERSONAL
♦ Selected by Baltimore in the 1st round (21st overall) of the 2017 draft.
♦ Attended Valdosta High School (GA), where he earned Region 1-6A Player of the Year honors after a senior season that saw him post a 1.36 ERA with 105 strikeouts in 51.1 IP. He also batted .349 with five home runs and 33 RBI during his senior year of high school.
♦ During the summer of 2016, he played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game at Wrigley Field and the Perfect Game All-American Game at Petco Park.
♦ Had an offer to play collegiately at Florida State University before signing with Baltimore.
