Selected in the 8th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks out of Arizona State University... signed with the D-backs on July 21, 2025 and received a $167,326 signing bonus... was assigned to the D-backs' Arizona Complex League affiliate but did not appear in a game in 2025... traded to St. Louis in exchange for 3B Nolan Arenado on Jan. 13, 2026... attended Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas before joining Division III Trinity University in 2021... went 10-1 over his two seasons with Trinity before transferring to Louisiana-Lafayette, where he helped the Ragin' Cajuns to the Sun Belt regular season title and a trip to the NCAA Baseball Tournament... appeared in 22 games for Louisiana, going 4-3 with a 4.40 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 45 innings... transferred again ahead of the 2024-25 season to Arizona State, where as a senior he went 6-4 with a 5.47 ERA and 110 strikeouts in 77 1/3 innings across 15 starts for the Sun Devils... was one of nine ASU players selected in the 2025 MLB Draft... his 110 strikeouts were the eighth-most at ASU since the 1998 season; he recorded double-digit K's five times in his final collegiate season
