The Pulaski Yankees exploded for 11 runs on 10 singles to bolt past the Bristol Pirates, 11-2 on Tuesday night at Motor Mile Field in Calfee Park. Luis Gil worked five scoreless innings to qualify for his first win of the 2018 season. Max Burt tallied two RBIs in a single game for the third time this season, and catcher Charles Vazquez drove home two runs in his Pulaski Yankees' season debut

In the bottom of the second inning, Vazquez got the scoring off and running with a RBI single to center field to score Ezequiel Duran. Next inning, Pulaski scored five runs for the most in a single inning this season since they posted eight in the third frame on June 24 against Greeneville. Robert Javier reached base on a single and raced to second on a fielding error, then later grabbed third base on a wild pitch. With Oswald Peraza at the dish, a single scored Javier to make it 2-0.
Later in the inning, Ezequiel Duran smacked a sharp grounder to the shortstop Chase Lambert, but the baseball bounced into the outfield grass to score Peraza, opening the lead to 3-0. Nelson Gomez added insurance on a RBI groundout to score Everson Pereira, followed by a Max Burt RBI single on a 2-2 count and Vazquez' second RBI single of the night to score Burt. Pulaski batted around in the third inning with the five runs.
Three more tallies followed in the fourth inning to extend Pulaski's lead to 9-0. Gomez added another RBI on a fly ball to left field to score Peraza. Pereira also scored on the play courtesy of a throwing error by Jeremias Portorreal. Gomez scored on a Burt groundout to round out the inning's scoring.
In the fifth, Pereira singled to score Jordan Scott to hang a 10 spot for only the second time this season on the opposition. Into the seventh inning with the bases loaded and Pereira batting, he beat out the back throw for a potential double play and reached on a fielder's choice and an RBI to extend the lead to 11-0.
The Pirates stopped the bleeding with two runs in the eighth inning to break Pulaski's bid for a second shutout on the season. Portorreal received credit for a RBI ground out followed by a Mikell Granberry double to make it an 11-2 game and round out the final score.
Pulaski's 11-2 win is their largest margin of victory in the 2018 season and improved their record to 9-12 on the campaign.
