Baby Bombers struggle in series finale with Cyclones, 6-0

The Staten Island Yankees (40-24) loss the final game of this weekend's series to the Brooklyn Cyclones (17-47) by a score of 6-0.
When
Guzman ended the day with a bizarre pitching line as he was able to rack up seven strikeouts in four innings pitched. Guzman allowed six runs to score on seven hits. Only three of the six runs he allowed were earned as the team made three errors behind him. Overall it was a day filled with missed opportunities for Staten Island.
The Cyclones scored early and often as they scored at least one run in the first four innings of play.
The Yankees had their chances to battle back while they were down by six, but when batting with runners in scoring position it was not very clutch. The team went 2-for-9 with RISP and left a total of 11 men on base. They had left the bases loaded on two different occasions.

The Yanks now take a three-game road trip to Lowell to take on the Spinners before returning home Thursday to take on the Tigers for a single-admission doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. The Baby Bombers still have the best record in the New York-Penn Leage and have a three-game lead over the Hudson Valley Renegades in the McNamara Division.
