PREVIEW: The Rochester Red Wings make their return to Frontier Field for a two-game series with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Yankees), starting on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.

The two-game set is the Wings final series before the All-Star break. The Wings look for good fortune at Frontier Field as they own the second best home record in the International League at 33-18 (.647). The Wings come home just at the right time as Rochester has lost four straight including a three-game sweep by the RailRiders.

LHP Sean Gilmartin (1-1, 4.44 ERA) will be making his sixth start for the Red Wings and his first start against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. Gilmartin made his longest start in his last outing throwing 6 1/3 innings allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out five, taking the no decision in a 7-6 loss to the Buffalo Bisons. At Frontier Field, Gilmartin has pitched to a 2.79 ERA (3 ER/9.2 IP) allowing 13 runs while striking out seven. The lefty will be making his second career start against the RailRiders, tossing 6 2/3 innings allowing three runs on four hits and two walks and while striking out six.

On the mound for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is 24 year-old, Nik Turley who brings in a 0-1 record with a 7.94 ERA in only three games with the RailRiders this season. Turley is yet to make it out of the fifth inning at Triple-A this year. His longest outing was his first in the IL this year pitching 4 1/3 innings allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five. Turley has been beat by the long ball since his promotion to Triple-A, giving up four homers in 11 1/3 innings.

Down on the Farm

The New Britain Rock Cats fell to the Reading Fightin Phils, 5-3, last night. Eddie Rosario hit a solo home run in the 5th inning, his 3rd of the year. Rosario, hitting .246 on the year, also recorded a double in the game.

The Fort Myers Miracle walked off into first place last night, defeating the Dunedin Blue Jays 2-1 on a Dalton Hicks sac fly in the bottom of the ninth. With the win, the Miracle (53-36) catapulted themselves into first place in the Florida State League South division. The Miracle only recorded three hits in the game, yet still came away with the victory. Starter Brett Lee was a big reason why. Lee went 6 2/3 innings, giving up one unearned run on five hits, while striking out eight.
