PREVIEW:

The Rochester Red Wings are back at Frontier Field for a four game set with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Yankees), starting with a doubleheader Saturday at 4:35 p.m. Rochester looks to make ground on the Pawtucket Red Sox in the Wild Card as the Wings sit just 3.0 games back of the Red Sox for the lead.

GAME ONE
The Wings will send RHP Mark Hamburger (3-4, 4.50 ERA) to the mound as he looks for his first win since August 8 at Indianapolis. Hamburger will also be making his first start since August 8 as his last three outings have come in relief, going 0-2 with a 9.39 ERA (8 ER/ 7.2 IP). Hamburger has struggled in five August appearances going 1-2 while pitching to a 5.68 ERA as the opposition has .304 batting average against (24-for-79).

Rochester will be matched up against Manny Banuelos who is 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA (ER/8 IP) as he will be making his third start with the RailRiders this season. Banuelos is at third level of baseball this season in his comeback from Tommy John Surgery in causing him to miss all of 2013. The 23-year old left-hander will be making his first appearance against the Wings since his May 2, 2012 start at Frontier Field where he pitched 3 2/3 innings allowing two hits while striking out five.

GAME TWO
For the nightcap, Sean Gilmartin (2-4, 4.36 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Wings as the lefty still aims for his first win as Frontier Field this season. The southpaw's only other start vs. Scranton this season came on July 12 at home as he pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three. The Wings used a four run eighth inning to top the RailRiders 5-2, including a two-run homer from Dan Rohlfing. Gilmartin's last start came as part of a doubleheader also starting Game Two of the twinbill against the Chiefs on August 17. Gilmartin struggled early allowing six runs in the first inning, but then settled in and retired the next 10 batters, before allowing three straight base runners in the fifth inning and was pulled from the game in favor of A.J. Achter. Gilmartin finished with four plus innings of work allowing seven runs on four hits and five walks while striking out three batters.

For the RailRiders in Game Two, Chris Leroux will be on the mound. Leroux is 5-3 with a 3.93 ERA. Leroux has made nine starts (10 games) for the RailRiders this year. In Leroux's last outing he picked up the victory in relief of Game One's starter Banuelos. Leroux went five shutout innings allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out five. The veteran right-hander has not pitched against Rochester this season and last pitched against the Wings with Indianapolis on August 17, 2012 throwing five innings allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five.

Yohan Pino was recalled by the Minnesota Twins to start in their doubleheader vs. the Detroit Tigers and Virgil Vasquez was promoted to Rochester from New Britain.
